Our 2-day, 1-night trip to Toraja was truly one of the most memorable travel experiences we have ever had. We booked our journey through Toraja Travel Guide, part of Sekeluarga Healing Adventure, and we couldn't have made a better choice! Our main purpose for visiting Toraja was to witness the traditional Rambu Solo’ funeral ceremony, one of the most fascinating and meaningful cultural traditions in Indonesia. We had heard so much about Toraja's unique funeral rituals, traditional houses, and ancestral customs, but experiencing everything firsthand was something completely different. From the beginning, the booking process was smooth and convenient. The team provided helpful information about the itinerary, transportation, and what to expect during our visit. Everything was well organized, allowing us to enjoy our journey without worrying about the details. One of the highlights of our trip was having Amir and Cempaka as our local guides. Both were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They explained the cultural significance of Rambu Solo’, the traditional ceremonies, and the meaning behind the different rituals. We learned so much about Torajan culture, local beliefs, and the importance of honoring ancestors. Visiting the Rambu Solo’ ceremony was an unforgettable experience. We had the opportunity to observe traditional activities, witness the strong sense of community, and understand how deeply these ceremonies are connected to Torajan identity and family traditions. Amir and Cempaka made sure we experienced the ceremony respectfully while helping us understand what was happening around us. Beyond the ceremony itself, we also enjoyed discovering the beautiful landscapes and cultural heritage of Toraja. The traditional Tongkonan houses, spectacular mountain scenery, and warm hospitality of the local people made our short trip even more special. Although two days and one night seemed like a short time, the itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, and we were able to experience so much. We would especially like to thank Amir and Cempaka for their kindness, patience, and excellent guidance throughout the journey. Their passion for sharing Toraja's culture made a significant difference to our experience. Un unbelievable experience in one of the most interesting regions of Indonesia! Two full days that allowed me to see so many places, each similar but yet different. Very flexible itineraries made with care and taking in mind my desires. Very friendly approach through WhatsApp and in person. My flight had been delayed for 4 hours and missed the sleeper bus, but they tried to find the best solution to arrive at my destination on time. I am truly very thankful, it was a extra cost that we share so I am very pleased for the owner's approach. Thanks Amir. My guides were amazing company, Ati and Anton, and they really know the place. Thanks to them both this tour was an amazing experience. But I have to say the only negative thing was the homestay, I informed Amir about, it's not a suitable place to stay even for one night. But, exactly because it was only for one night, and they allowed us to stay until the return sleeper bus I can't take any points off of my review. Totally worthy experien.
